In our last class, you finished your written test and then played 2 pieces for me. Everyone got great marks on their assessment, so good for you! When you were done your tests, you played Children's Music Journey games and had a Holiday treat!
I hope to see you all next year in January when classes start again for level 2.

Maple Tree Montessori Wk 5
Great job in our last class before the holidays! I was so proud of you! You are all getting much better at remembering middle C.
We got to move forward on to level 3 where you learned about rhythm. Here are some helpful phrases to practice at home. You can either play the rhythms on middle "C" on the piano, or clap them. Can you remember any more? Try making up your own phrases to clap to.
"Ti-gers ne-ver make good pets"
"My Pa-rot talks a- lot"
"Swim Swim li-ttle fish"
"Rab-bits like to eat car-rots"
We heard two pieces composed by Beethoven this week: Fur Elise and his 5th symphony. Fur Elise is very melodic and easy to listen to, while we described his 5th symphony to be scary music.
