Mount Edward Elementary 3-6 Week 1

What a wonderful class to start off the semester! This week we learned all the notes and we able to play our first song. I can tell you are all going to be concert pianists in no time. It was great to see how many of you have a piano at home. I will be posting a review of our lessons each week so that you will be able to practice before our next class.

Here is a summary of what we learned:

• Introduction to the piano
  
• Correct sitting posture at the keyboard.
  
• Middle "C" hand position
• The musical alphabet: on the keyboard and on the staff in the treble/"G" clef
