I hope today's class was a bit easier than our previous one.
We started today reviewing our treble clef notes on the staff. Today, we combined the lines and the spaces in our game. We learned more about the grand staff in Theory Thinker 1-4 and then worked on the exercises which followed this using BOTH hands!!! After this we proceeded to learn more about the bass clef staff in Theory Thinker 1-7. To remember the lines in the bass clef which is in the left hand we learned the phrase "Good Boys Deserve Fudge Always" For the spaces; "All Cows Eat Grass"
Today we learned our first song from Piano Player "Old Grey Goose" Everyone learned this very fast and I can't wait to listen to it at the start of our lesson next week. Next Monday after playing "Old Grey Goose" we will be reviewing the notes on the staff; skips and steps. When to use the right hand and/or the left hand, note values, and the C major scale.
