Portland Estates Elementary 3-6 Wk. 4

Good job this class. I feel that we accomplished quite a bit. Today we started right at 3:15 to make up for some lost time from last week.

We all reviewed our notes in the treble and bass staff. Here are the lessons:
1-5 notes above middle "C" in the treble clef
1-7 notes below middle "C" in the bass clef
1-3 Intro. to the "F" or bass clef
1-4 The Grand Staff

The notes in the bass clef are played with your left hand and with the right hand if you're in the treble clef. From now on, we should always check the clef of a piece before we play it. It is also important to check where our hand should be on the keyboard.

We also went into Piano Player today to learn some new songs. To start we did "Old Grey Goose" and "Mary had a little lamb" I came around and listened to these except for Noah and Mehran. I will listen to you next class. For most of you who finished these early, you got to choose any song from the level 1 category to try.

At the end of class we started playing memory with note value cards.
