Ocean View Elementary P-2 Wk 2

We remembered so much after coming back from the Thanksgiving holiday.

This week we learned that there are 7 letters in the musical alphabet.
We completed 2 levels in our lesson time. In level 2 Mr. Beethoven taught us where middle "C" is on the keyboard. Middle "C" was then incorporated into our high and low games which we learned to play last class.
In level 3 we learned about rhythm. Here are some helpful phrases to practice at home. You can either play the rhythms on middle "C" on the piano, or clap them.
"Ti-gers ne-ver make good pets"
"My Pa-rot talks a- lot"
"Swim Swim li-ttle fish"
"Rab-bits like to eat car-rots"

We heard two pieces composed by Beethoven this week: Fur Elise and his 5th symphony. Fur Elise is very melodic and easy to listen to, while we described his 5th symphony to be scary music.
